What to Expect

Church Sanctuary

WHAT ARE WORSHIP SERVICES LIKE?

Sunday morning services start at 10am and usually last about one hour, but please bear with us if we go a little under- or over-time. Our services typically include elements of prayer, singing (the four-part harmony is sure to draw you in), scripture reading, a children’s story led at the front of the church, a sermon, an offering, and a time to share joys and concerns. Please feel free to join in as you are comfortable.

You may also watch the service line (or later at your leisure) by going to our Facebook page.

After the service (September to June), join us in the Gathering Room next to the sanctuary for coffee or tea and snacks. Feel free to join a table and meet some new people!

IS THERE CHILD CARE?

There is no Child Care available at this time but we have a beautiful nursery you and your child can enjoy and  listen to the service through the speaker system.

Children’s worship binders are available in the foyer for older children, with activities, colouring pages, and crayons inside. Children are also welcome to borrow a book (or several!) from our library to enjoy during the service.

WHAT ABOUT SUNDAY SCHOOL?

Our Sunday School classes happen September to June after our worship services, from 11:15am – noon. Children gather in the buffet room (just off of the gym) for a snack and then go with a leader to the Story Room for a short gathering time of energetic singing and an introduction to the lesson for the day. From there, the kids go with a teacher to one of our classrooms to explore the lesson through art, stories, or drama.

Youth from grades 6-12 meet in the youth room (down the East hallway)  from 11:15am – noon. Bring your drink from the Gathering Room if you’re not finished yet!

While the children are in Sunday School, a curriculum-based Adult Sunday School class meets in Classroom 1, while a less formatted adult discussion group meets in the Nursery. The rest of us hang out in the Gathering Room over coffee.

DO I NEED TO DRESS UP?

Not at all! Our congregants’ attire ranges from very casual to more formal. Dress in a way that is comfortable for you, and you’ll be fine.

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

There is ample parking in our gravel parking lot in front of the church. We also have paved accessible parking stalls directly in front of the building, easily accessed by the west driveway.
